 I started Pacific Rim Realty to help people find incredible properties for Investment and/or Retirement in Latin/Central American countries such as Costa Rica, Panama, Beliz, Nicaragua and Honduras.
International Incentives
The dollar's steep drop against the euro has many investors shifting their focus to Latin America.
Properties in these countries are not only less expensive than similar ones in the U. S., but in many cases, the governments are offering foreign investors hefty tax breaks and other attractive incentives. As the U.S. market cools, many buyers are beginning to look at more international opportunities.
Boomers
Some of this interest is coming from American baby boomers who realize that, despite the softening market, they won't be able to afford their dream retirement home in the United States. They are anticipating the coming fixed income years, and realize their money will go a lot further in these countries than where they are from.
